Lombard Street - San Francisco, CA

I'm expanding this blog to include more than just our National Park adventures.  San Francisco was part of our trip to Yosemite so it's fitting that I include some of those pictures as well.

Each night in San Francisco, Ashlyn and I walked up to Lombard street to experiment with some long exposure photography.  Allie joined us the last night as well.

The image above was exposed for a minute at f/14.  I don't remember how many cars drove down Lombard during that minute - but it was at least 3-4.  You can also tell by the varying levels of the lights that different size cars drove by.  This was my favorite image from our experiment.

Had to include a daytime view of Lombard as well.  I drove down this in our rented suburban - not as hard as you would imagine.

Since I was experimenting with the long exposures, I figured I had to include a trolley car.  The image below was exposed for 10 seconds at f/14 as a trolley car drove past.

Ashlyn's Video Blog.....you may enjoy her commentary more than my pictures...
