Grand Canyon

Another National Park to visit on my list - and one of the most spectacular. Ashlyn and I enjoyed an early morning sunrise and were the first to see the Grand Canyon. We walked all over the rim road and took a tour to the Desert View point that night. Made for a long day but we definitely learned our lesson after last year in Yellowstone - stay in the park if you can! The local hotel made it very convenient to let the girls rest before going back to more view points and hikes. Ashlyn was a trooper and hiked into the canyon with Sarah and I! Truly a wonderful experience.

One thing we always enjoy when traveling to National Parks as a family is the Junior Ranger program.

Anna Claire and Mommy enjoying the view.

Grand Canyon Sunset

We hiked 1.5 miles down into the canyon early in the morning. This was one of the most rewarding hikes I've done - we wish we had the energy to go further...but it was the hike back up the kept us from continuing.
