The Capital - Washington DC

After making my journey around the National Mall, I had to stop by the Capital for a final photography visit.  The clouds were beginning to thicken which made for some interesting backdrops in these pictures.

During the day, we got a large rain storm.  That's never stopped me from taking pictures before, but does change it a little bit.  This was the same view on Pennsylvania Ave of the capital that I shot at night.

This is something I've been experimenting with during some night photography shoots.  I wasn't as pleased with the Capital shots that I took late at night, so I decided to get up before dawn and try again.  This was the last shot that I captured and decided it was worth the early morning!

Washington DC

Fortunately the last day I was there for the conference was an extremely clear day and great sky!  Conference ended at noon and I was able to capture some more images around the National Mall before leaving.  This was an extremely quick trip, but we are bringing the girls back to DC in June so definitely looking forward to that!
